Learn to apply evidence-based interventions for students on the Autism Spectrum via telepractice! This course will review the distinctive characteristics of this population and provide a refreshed exploration of emerging perspectives and evidence-based interventions. Participants will learn to leverage this unique service-delivery model to enhance outcomes for their students on the Autism Spectrum. Enjoy our tips, tricks, and resources that can be incorporated into your lessons on day one!
To be successful in this course, participants must:
Introductions/Disclosures (5 mins)
How common ASD characteristics may impact the following domain areas (20 mins)
Evidence-based interventions in the following domains (25 mins)
Modifying interventions for teletherapy (60 mins for learners to rotate through 3 breakout sessions)
Conclusion (10 mins)
Sarah Kuhr MS, CCC-SLP
Sarah brings over 10 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist. She is passionate about sharing her experience providing behavioral supports and crisis prevention strategies to her work in teletherapy and while teaching this course!
Renee Mathews MS, OTR/L
Renee is an OT who has supported students with Autism both in brick and mortar and teletherapy school-based settings. She is excited to share her experience using various teletherapy tools/resources with the participants of this course.
Hannah Werner MA, CCC-SLP
Hannah Werner has experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum in a variety of settings. She brings her passion for learning more about the complex field of Speech & Language Pathology and her drive to collaborate with other professionals to facilitate high-quality telepractice techniques to her role as instructor.

This course is offered at no cost to contracted and employed GT therapists. In the event the course is canceled by GT, the participant will have the option to attend a rescheduled event that will be offered within 60 days of canceled course.
Registered participants who do not attend or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, may have future course registration restricted, after 3 documented incidents.
